About
Troy Elmore brings something rare to the craft of shaping: a level of care and precision that shows up in every board he makes. His abilities stretch across a lot of different creative pursuits, but when it comes to surfboard design, that attention to detail is matched by something equally uncommon — a surfing ability that puts him in very select company. Troy moves fluidly between longboards, eggs, bonzers, shortboards, and fish, holding his own at the highest level on all of them.
That combination is what makes him special. Because Troy surfs everything he builds, his design process is a living, breathing cycle. He shapes a board, rides it, identifies what's working and what isn't, and feeds that real-world experience back into the next version. Each iteration gets closer to something refined, and eventually a finished model emerges — one that earned its place through actual testing, not guesswork.
Browse through his lineup and you'll notice it covers a lot of ground. For smaller, more relaxed days there are longboards that work for beginners and experienced noseriders alike. When the surf picks up, his lower-volume shapes are built to handle punchier, more powerful waves as well as softer conditions. And for everything in between, there's a wide range of boards across the volume spectrum that speak to surfers at different stages of their progression. Whatever the ocean serves up on a given day, Troy has likely designed something that helps you make the most of it — a philosophy that echoes what legendary surfer Mickey Munoz once said: the difference between a good session and a bad one often comes down to the board under your feet and the attitude you bring to the water.
