About
Established in 1969, Pearson Arrow Surfboards is a legendary Santa Cruz institution founded by shaper Bob Pearson, renowned for world class handcrafted boards that blend the finest materials with invaluable insights from the world's top surfers. Pearson started surfing in 1964 and shaping in 1966, and has since shaped over 75,000 boards across a huge range of materials including polyurethane, EPS foam, balsa, and redwood.
Bob Pearson has been a mentor for many young surfers for over thirty years, giving countless riders the opportunity to reach their potential by making them the finest surfboards, as well as employing them at his surf shop and factory. His approach to custom shaping is deeply personal, sitting down with each customer to understand exactly what they need and drawing on decades of accumulated knowledge to deliver it.
Pearson Arrow has also been a leader in sustainability, introducing eco friendly alternatives and recycled materials without sacrificing performance, and running a recycling program for old surfboards to reduce waste and encourage environmental responsibility within the surfing community. Based on the west side of Santa Cruz, Pearson Arrow is a true cornerstone of California surf culture and one of the most trusted names on the coast.
